Mission
The Gathering Place provides and advocates for adult day and community-based services for elders and adults with disabilities. the Gathering Place offers respite, support and education to caregivers. The Gathering Place:
• fosters
respect for each individual,
• promotes empowerment, independence and personal growth,
• maintains a link between participants and the community at large.

The People
The Gathering Place Board of Directors, staff and volunteers are dedicated
to providing the very best services for program participants and their
caregivers.
At
TGP we help our program participants optimize their individual strengths and
potential and remain respected community members. We offer
their caregivers a way to minimize the stress of providing
full-time care at home, as well as an affordable alternative to nursing
home placement.
At TGP we encourage independence and challenge our participants
to reach and maintain their maximum levels of physical and mental well-being.

Our Program
The Gathering Place offers a wide variety of services and activities
that includes:

Payment
and Fees
The Gathering
Place is a Medicaid provider in both Vermont and New Hampshire and a Veterans
Administration provider. TGP uses an income-sensitive,
flexible fee scale and offers scholarships for those who
demonstrate financial need. The Vermont Department of Disabilities, Aging and Independent
Living,
the United
Way of Windham County, town funding, fundraising and community
grants support The Gathering Place scholarship program.
